Founded in 1969, the Columbus Apartment Association (CAA) was created to serve the needs of the multifamily housing industry. The CAA received its charter for an affiliated association of the National Apartment Association (NAA) in 1970. Since then, it has maintained strong leadership and membership. Starting with a few members and growing to over 330 members, CAA currently represents 104,000 multifamily units. The CAA has a nationally recognized Governmental Affairs program that provides advocacy for apartment owners. Through affiliation with the Ohio Apartment Association (OAA) and the National Apartment Association (NAA), CAA members have extremely active legislative and regulatory representation at both the state and national levels.

What are the main benefits of joining the Columbus Apartment Association (CAA)? The CAA’s main focus is to serve the needs of the multifamily industry. By joining the CAA, you gain access to all CAA education courses and networking events. Additionally, the CAA works on your behalf with legislature on the local, state, and national levels. What is the cost to join the CAA? Membership dues are paid on an annual basis and vary depending on your membership type. Contact CAA’s Membership Director for more information. What education courses are open to nonmembers? Each year, the CAA hosts a wide variety of courses, such as Apartments 101, Leadership, Resident Retention, Fair Housing, and several maintenance courses. Membership Policies

Membership Policies
No member who has joined as a Primary member is entitled to advertise their rental property in any Columbus Apartment Association publication.

A Primary member making application must claim all units that he/she owns and/or manages or he/she acts as the general partner.

Any management company or corporation seeking Columbus Apartment Association membership must claim all units managed and/or owned by the company regardless of ownership. They must pay for all their units located in Ohio except for units which they pay dues to another local affiliate of the National Apartment Association.

Special Notes
In making this application (and pressing the "Submit" button below) I/we agree to abide by the By laws and Code of Ethics of the Columbus Apartment Association. In the event of termination of membership in this Association I/we agree to immediately discontinue use of its insignia or signs in any form. The remittance received by the CAA represents dues in the Columbus Apartment Association for a month period. A portion of these dues will support the work of the Ohio Apartment Association and the National Apartment Association. I/we attest the above statements to be true and correct. I/we hereby grant permission to the Columbus Apartment Association to verify any of the information set forth in this application.
