Everyone faces conflict – nearly on a daily basis. Conflict arises where parties with seemingly contrasting goals come into contact with each other. It’s something most people fear but yet it is a normal part of any healthy relationship. One myth is that conflict is bad and should be minimized or avoided. On the contrary, properly managed conflicts can lead to greater innovation, performance, and improved team cohesion. This workshop focuses on 5 ways to manage conflict: Competing, Accommodating, Compromising, Avoiding, or Collaborating. Based on the assertiveness and cooperation of the parties, we identify our preferred “go to” strategy. Taking it a step further, we use mini case studies to determine what strategy works best. Using Emotional Intelligence and Self-Awareness participants will utilize tactics to help solve for various conflicts. Throughout the workshop participants are lead through activities to help them discover how they are doing as leaders in their own conflict management strategy with the content that is being covered. This workshop concludes with a self-developed Action Plan.
