Designation Programs The CAA offers the National Apartment Association designation programs; these are professional certifications for each level of the apartment industry.
National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP): Leasing professionals are the first people prospective residents meet, and often their only gauge of the property staff. This course is designed to teach these professionals skills to help them become top producers.
Certified Apartment Manager (CAM):The on-site manager is vital link between apartment residents and the community owners and investors. That’s why more and more apartment owners and investors are asking specifically for NAA-designated CAMS to fill their staffing needs. Take the CAM Course withCAM Online. If you are a busy professional who may not have the time or ability to travel to your training, CAM Online may meet your needs!
Certified Apartment Property Supervisor (CAPS): Competition is fierce in today’s growing multi-housing industry. Yet a designation earned through NAA’s Certified Apartment Property Supervisor program offers enhanced opportunities for the multi-site supervisor. CAPS DIRECT: Earn CAPS without coursework if you meet two of three criteria:
Hold a Bachelor's or Master's with a major, minor or concentration in property management or real estate
Hold a current CPM designation
Have over 5 years of experience as a multi-site portfolio supervisor
This option is also available to those with CAPS designation and have not renewed in over 5 years.
