2025 Reverse Raffle
CAA Reverse Raffle Ends in Split Prize and Fun For All
The 2025 CAA Reverse Raffle, benefiting the CAA Community Assistance Foundation, brought excitement, drama and anticipation as the culmination of the event created an eagerness of who would take home the $2,000 Grand Prize or if it would be split. The annual event was held again at Woodland’s Backyard on Thursday, November 6 with attendees enjoying food, drinks, mingling, and a chance to win not only the grand prize but a liquor basket valued at $400 worth of alcohol and accessories.
The evening started with cocktails and conversations before getting into the Raffle. Mike Lange with Coastal Ridge Real Estate and Amanda McCullough with CORT welcomed everyone, thanking them for their generosity not only at this event but throughout the year making the Community Assistance Foundation awards possible.
After a quick review of the rules everyone was ready to get started for the rapid-fire elimination of numbers leading to the ultimate Grand Prize. But first, the “Grand Prize Loser” went to the Chadwell Supply who won back their $125 ticket price being the first number removed from the board. Attendees excitedly watched as the numbers were removed one by one. Those eliminated early were disappointed not to be the final winner, but eight non-winning attendees received one of the consolation door prizes generously donated by sponsors.
When only five numbers remained: Alexander Crest Construction, BRG Realty Group, LLC, Homestead Companies, Oakwood Management and Redwood Living representatives were called forward to discuss whether to split or continue. With the rules requiring a unanimous decision the five opted to continue. The next number eliminated removed Homestead Communities from contention. The four remaining contenders once again opted to continue after not reaching a unanimous decision. Next, BRG Real Estate was eliminated. After another round of deliberation, the remaining three opted to split the Grand Prize. While deliberating the final playing cards were drawn for the liquor basket with Denali Restoration taking home the prize.
The CAA Community Assistance Foundation would not be able to provide outreach to charities without participation from members at events like the Reverse Raffle. The Foundation Board would like to thank everyone for their donations by purchasing a ticket, door prize or sponsoring the event. Congratulations to this year’s lucky winners.
